Tshepo Motsoeneng’s goal to achieve before retiring

Making his sixth participation in the SAFA ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs, Tshepo Motsoeneng has disclosed the dream he hopes to accomplish before retiring. The only coach with six appearances in the national playoffs for third-tier SA football is Motsoeneng. In the playoffs, he is leading KwaZulu-Natal’s Njampela FC to victory and promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The former SuperSport United goalie, who was instrumental in Bizana Pondo Chiefs’ 2020 promotion to the National First Division, would not be unfamiliar with this transfer. In the playoffs, he has previously served as a coach for Zizwe United, Tornado FC, Buffalo City Municipal [BCM], and Senenkani FC.

The event is taking hosted this year from June 18–23, 2024, at Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium in Upington, Northern Cape. “Leave me go and work like it is my last since anything can change at any time,” is how I approach my work. Perhaps one day I will be able to fulfill my ambition of returning to the PSL, where I was a player before becoming a coach.”My goal in football is not to play for a long time. God willing, I will always state that when I reach the age of 55, I truly want to end my life since it has taken a great toll on both my body and mind. Most of the time, you work under intense pressure and stress.

“At some point, I have to tell my kids that this is the final year they will spend with their cranky dad because there will be occasions when we need to celebrate. I must therefore work more quickly and go.A football player plays the game for the whole of their career. Most of us are compelled to return to our mothers’ houses or back rooms after football. “When football selects you and finds you where you are, you will always attempt to work hard and grow better,” Motsoeneng went on. Upon exiting the playing field, I was aware that I needed to return to something. I became interested in coaching after beginning my career as a goalie coach.

“I never looked back after that; I continued to better myself to the point where I became a head coach. I can support my family and take care of other things in life that I could have neglected while I was still playing football since football brings in money.I want to emphasize that working is ultimately preferable, and people will move to wherever you are. Football, as we all know, has the power to occasionally alter one’s life ten times more than a 9–5 job.
